{"number":25,"question":"What believest you when you sayest, I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of Heaven and Earth?","answer":"I believe the everlasting Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who made of nothing Heaven and Earth, with all that are in them; who likewise upholds and governs the same by his eternal Counsel and Providence. This God I believe to be my God and Father for Christ sake; and therefore so trust in him, and rely on him, that I make no doubt but he will provide all things necessary both for my soul and body; and further, whatsoever evils he sends on me in this troublesome life, he will turn them to my safety; seing both he is able to do it, as being God Almighty, and willing to do it, as being a bountiful Father.","segments":[{"text":"I believe the everlasting Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,","proofs":["Genesis 1:1–2","Psalm 33:6","Job 33:4","Acts 4:24","Acts 14:15,&c","Isaiah 45:7"],"refs":[{"printed":"Genesis 1:1–2","osis":["Gen.1.1-Gen.1.2"]},{"printed":"Psalm 33:6","osis":["Ps.33.6"]},{"printed":"Job 33:4","osis":["Job.33.4"]},{"printed":"Acts 4:24","osis":["Acts.4.24"]},{"printed":"Acts 14:15,&c","osis":["Acts.14.15-Acts.14.28"]},{"printed":"Isaiah 45:7","osis":["Isa.45.7"]}],"note":null},{"text":"who made of nothing Heaven and Earth, with all that are in them; who likewise upholds","proofs":["Psalm 104:3","Psalm 115:3","Matthew 10:29","Hebrews 1:3","Romans 11:36"],"refs":[{"printed":"Psalm 104:3","osis":["Ps.104.3"]},{"printed":"Psalm 115:3","osis":["Ps.115.3"]},{"printed":"Matthew 10:29","osis":["Matt.10.29"]},{"printed":"Hebrews 1:3","osis":["Heb.1.3"]},{"printed":"Romans 11:36","osis":["Rom.11.36"]}],"note":null},{"text":"and governs the same by his eternal Counsel and","proofs":["John 1:12","Romans 8:15","Galatians 4:5–6","Ephesians 1:5"],"refs":[{"printed":"John 1:12","osis":["John.1.12"]},{"printed":"Romans 8:15","osis":["Rom.8.15"]},{"printed":"Galatians 4:5–6","osis":["Gal.4.5-Gal.4.6"]},{"printed":"Ephesians 1:5","osis":["Eph.1.5"]}],"note":null},{"text":"Providence.
