And when Christ who is our life shall appear, we shall also appear with him in glory. For then shall he be King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, for the Kingdome is his, and he is the Governour among the Nations, and King over all the earth, and we shall raign (with him) on the Earth, the Kingdomes of this World, (which men so mightily strive after here to enjoy) shall become the Kingdomes of our Lord, and his Christ, for, all is yours, (O ye that overcome this world) for ye are Christs, and Christ is Gods. For unto the Saints shall be given the Kingdome, and the greatness of the Kingdome, under (mark that) the whole Heaven. Though (alas) now many men be scarce content that the Saints should have so much as a being among them; but when Christ shall appear, then shall be their day, then shall be given unto them power over the Nations, to rule them with a Rod of Iron, then shall they receive a Crown of life, which no man shall take from them, nor they by any means turned, or overturned from it, for the oppressor shall be broken in pieces, and their now vain rejoycings turned into mourning, and bitter Lamentations, as ’tis written, The triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the Hypocrite but for a moment; though his excellency mount up to the Heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds, yet shall he perish for ever, like his own dung; they which have seen him, shall say, where is he?","segments":[{"text":"That the same Lord Jesus who shewed himself alive after his passion, by many infallible proofs,","proofs":["Acts 1:3"],"refs":[{"printed":"Acts 1:3","osis":["Acts.1.3"]}],"note":null},{"text":"which was taken up from the Disciples, and carried up into Heaven,","proofs":["Luke 24:51"],"refs":[{"printed":"Luke 24:51","osis":["Luke.24.51"]}],"note":null},{"text":"Shall so come in like manner as he was seen go into Heaven.","proofs":["Acts 1:9–11"],"refs":[{"printed":"Acts 1:9–11","osis":["Acts.1.9-Acts.1.11"]}],"note":null},{"text":"And when Christ who is our life shall appear, we shall also appear with him in glory.","proofs":["Colossians 3:4"],"refs":[{"printed":"Colossians 3:4","osis":["Col.3.4"]}],"note":null},{"text":"For then shall he be King of Kings, and Lord of Lords,","proofs":["Revelation 19:16"],"refs":[{"printed":"Revelation 19:16","osis":["Rev.19.16"]}],"note":null},{"text":"for the Kingdome is his, and he is the Governour among the Nations,","proofs":["Psalm 22:28"],"refs":[{"printed":"Psalm 22:28","osis":["Ps.22.28"]}],"note":null},{"text":"and King over all the earth,","proofs":["Zechariah 14:9"],"refs":[{"printed":"Zechariah 14:9","osis":["Zech.14.9"]}],"note":null},{"text":"and we shall raign (with him) on the Earth,","proofs":["Revelation 5:10"],"refs":[{"printed":"Revelation 5:10","osis":["Rev.5.10"]}],"note":null},{"text":"the Kingdomes of this World, (which men so mightily strive after here to enjoy) shall become the Kingdomes of our Lord, and his Christ,","proofs":["Revelation 11:15"],"refs":[{"printed":"Revelation 11:15","osis":["Rev.11.15"]}],"note":null},{"text":"for, all is yours, (O ye that overcome this world) for ye are Christs, and Christ is Gods.","proofs":["1 Corinthians 3:22–23"],"refs":[{"printed":"1 Corinthians 3:22–23","osis":["1Cor.3.22-1Cor.3.23"]}],"note":null},{"text":"For unto the Saints shall be given the Kingdome, and the greatness of the Kingdome, under (mark that) the whole Heaven.","proofs":["Daniel 7:27"],"refs":[{"printed":"Daniel 7:27","osis":["Dan.7.27"]}],"note":null},{"text":"Though (alas) now many men be scarce content that the Saints should have so much as a being among them; but when Christ shall appear, then shall be their day, then shall be given unto them power over the Nations, to rule them with a Rod of Iron,","proofs":["Revelation 2:26–27"],"refs":[{"printed":"Revelation 2:26–27","osis":["Rev.2.26-Rev.2.27"]}],"note":null},{"text":"then shall they receive a Crown of life, which no man shall take from them, nor they by any means turned, or overturned from it, for the oppressor shall be broken in pieces,","proofs":["Psalm 72:4"],"refs":[{"printed":"Psalm 72:4","osis":["Ps.72.4"]}],"note":null},{"text":"and their now vain rejoycings turned into mourning, and bitter Lamentations, as ’tis written, The triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the Hypocrite but for a moment; though his excellency mount up to the Heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds, yet shall he perish for ever, like his own dung; they which have seen him, shall say, where is he?","proofs":["Job 20:5–7"],"refs":[{"printed":"Job 20:5–7","osis":["Job.20.5-Job.20.7"]}],"note":null}],"relations":{},"diffs":[],"page":"9","leaf":5}
